Hi. I have a Citroen C4 Picasso 1.6vti. I've got the same problem with the ESP/parking brake. It also has another problem. It's always blowing a 15 amp fuse in the engine bay fusebox. I've tested it with diagbox, and have the same u1208 fault code, but the engine has no fault codes. Engine oil too low means low pressure, therefore something is restricting it, there is not enough of it or the pump is not making enough pressure. However low oil pressure will not cause engine to stop and this could be a side effect of the engine cutting out. The only thing I can think of why the engine is cutting out is no fuel, obviously. The check engine light is part of every vehicle that has an electronic engine management system, either an integral one or only for fuel ignition. Its function is to alert the driver about any type of engine problems. While driving, the computer of your C4 Picasso (ECU o PCM) monitors air/fuel supply and exhaust gases in order to verify that My car has just done this, refusing to start and giving me all sorts of errors when it was running. All this 4 weeks after spending £2500 for a new ECU and other works to be carried out. Citroen garage have said it's the Engine Fuse box which is at fault. Is this the BSI? Reason I ask is I was told the BSI was fine when it went in originally.
